"In the first week we have received 50 calls, for a new service, that’s unheard of.”

Supporting Victims and Survivors of Domestic Abuse
Aurora New Dawn received a grant of £20,000 at the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis for a new Helpline to protect victims and survivors across Hampshire from domestic abuse.
The new 24/7 Helpline went live at the beginning of April 2020, with the grant ensuring that the helpline is staffed to deal with calls from those needing help.
“This grant has made a huge difference to us. The fact you turned it around so quickly and supported us to support survivors is a real testament to your commitment to local charities and to victims of domestic abuse. In the first week we have received 50 calls, for a new service, that’s unheard of.”
