MIND Sets Up Mental Health Crisis Fund

A grant of £8,000 has enabled Havant & East Hampshire MIND to establish a crisis fund, to provide household items for vulnerable and at risk families, to help them survive the impact of Covid-19.

MIND works with extremely vulnerable families facing significant mental health issues, often alongside other major problems such as poor or crowded accommodation and problems with debt. The team contact and visit families regularly to offer support, helping to improve emotional wellbeing and reducing the risk of harm and abuse within families.

“We would like to thank HIWCF for releasing the award so quickly, as the needs are urgent. The funding will help pay for essential services and help to relieve the additional pressures and financial hardship that the most vulnerable families within our communities are facing.”
